Bertrand Bisimwa

Bertrand Bisimwa is the current president[1] of the M23, often abbreviated and also known as the Congolese Revolutionary Army, is a rebel military group based in eastern areas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) March 23 Movement,[2] a rebel military group based in eastern areas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is trained as a lawyer. In November 2013, when the M23 armed group was defeated by the FARDC backed by the United Nations FIB (Force Intervention Brigade), Bisimwa fled to Uganda through Bunagana border-crossing.
