Bernays family

The Bernays family is a Jewish family originating in Germany. The family originated with the three sons of Jacob Gera Bernays: Isaac Bernays, chief rabbi of Hamburg; Clemens Bernays, who was involved in the field of medicine in the United States; and Adolphus Bernays, first professor of German at King's College in London.[1][2][3]
