Strother originally performed by Cynthia and her sister Kay, who performed under The Bell Sisters moniker, reaching #7 on the US pop chart in 1951.[1] A recording featuring Henri René and His Orchestra also reached the charts.

The song is featured in Allison Anders' 1996 musical biopic Grace of My Heart loosely based on the life of Carole King
