Benjamin Gilmour is an Australian filmmaker and author.[1] He is best known for his work on the feature films Son of a Lion,[2] Paramedico and Jirga.[3]

Career

Gilmour's first feature film was Son of a Lion, after which he published a book about the making of the film, titled Warrior Poets.[4] Paramedico : Around the World by Ambulance was written after he spent two years working on ambulances in nine counties, documenting his experiences[5][6] and four of his chapters formed part of the documentary Paramedico. Gilmour is also the author of children's book The Travel Bug. In 2016 he travelled to Jalalabad and Bamiyan, Afghanistan to produce his feature film Jirga which was selected for the Toronto Film Festival.[7]
