"Bengali in Platforms" is a Morrissey song from his debut album Viva Hate. It refers to a Bengali boy who is living in the UK, and trying, but failing, to fit in.[1] The title for the song was penned in a "Smiths" session after guitarist Johnny Marr left the group, they were rehearsing with former Easterhouse member Ivor Perry.
