BendFilm Festival
BendFilm Festival is an annual film festival based in Bend, Oregon held every October. Established in 2004, its focus is on the advocation and appreciation of independent film. Besides showcasing some of the best independent films in the Pacific Northwest, BendFilm Festival also includes filmmaking lectures and events.[1]
BendFilm Festival harnesses the power of local community to present dozens of independent films in a variety of local theaters and venues. BendFilm is held in locations from state-of-the-art cinemas, to a fully restored art-deco theater, cozy boutique movie houses, brew-pubs, and more.[2] The yearly festival cultivates appreciation for the art of film and a conduit of inspiration. In 2011, over 6,000 people attended BendFilm Festival, and the annual event has continued to grow each year.[3]
