Bear Creek (Castor River)

Bear Creek is a stream in Bollinger and Wayne counties in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is a tributary of the Castor River.

The stream headwaters are in northern Wayne County southeast of Coldwater at 37°16′28″N 90°22′56″W / 37.27444°N 90.38222°W / 37.27444; -90.38222 and the confluence with the Castor River is in western Bollinger County northwest of the community of Gipsy at 37°09′47″N 90°12′06″W / 37.16306°N 90.20167°W / 37.16306; -90.20167Coordinates: 37°09′47″N 90°12′06″W / 37.16306°N 90.20167°W / 37.16306; -90.20167.[1][2]

Bear Creek was so named on account of bears in the area.[3]
