Bayley Sironen (born 23 December 1996) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays for the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League. He plays at second-row and lock.

Background

Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Sironen played his junior rugby league for the Holy Cross Rhinos, before being signed by the Wests Tigers.

Sironen is the younger brother of Manly Warringah Sea Eagles player Curtis Sironen, and son of Australian international Paul Sironen.[2]

Playing career

Early career

In July 2014, Sironen was named in the Australian Schoolboys rugby league squad.[3] In 2015 and 2016, he played for the Wests Tigers' NYC team.[4] In July 2016, he played for the New South Wales under-20s team against the Queensland under-20s team.[5]

2017

In 2017, Sironen graduated to the Tigers' Intrust Super Premiership NSW team.[6] In round 25 of the 2017 NRL season, he made his NRL debut for the Tigers against the North Queensland Cowboys.[7][8] He is contracted to the Tigers until the end of 2018.[9]

2018

In 2018, Sironen was selected to play for the New South Wales Residents against the Queensland Residents side.[10]
