The Battle of Amritsar was fought between Durrani Empire and Sikh Misls of Dal Khalsa in 1757.[6]

The Battle

Ahmad Shah Durrani was returning home after sacking Delhi in January 1757 but on the way his army was attacked by Baba Deep Singh.Therefore, Shah sent his son Timur Shah Durrani to chastise Sikhs.A battle was fought at the village Goharwar where a small number of Sikhs drove off Afghans. Baba Deep Singh , the leader of Sikhs was also killed by General Attal Khan.[7]
