Barkha Singh

Barkha Singh (born 3 August 1992) is an Indian actress and model.^[1] She began her career as a child artist at the age of 4 and has since been associated with big brands such as Cadbury, Coca-Cola and Clinic Plus. She has appeared in multiple national and international television commercials and is also known for her cameos in movies such as Mujhse Dosti Karoge!, Parineeta, Apna Asmaan and Samay: When Time Strikes. Singh is an animal activist and enjoys travelling, adventure sports and cooking. Apart from acting she has also hosted online game shows.

Career

Singh is well known for her role as Gia Sen in the show Girls on Top broadcast on MTV India.^[2][3] She also played her cameo role in the serial MTV Fanaah as Vedika. Singh is known for her character in the serial Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Love By Chance, as well as her role of Surbhi Varun Shukla in the soap opera Bhagyalaxmi on &TV. She is also known as VJ Barkha Singh through MTV India.

Early life

Born in bikaner, rajasthan.Academically very inclined, Singh is a merit holder in her higher secondary exams in Maharashtra. She is a graduate with Honors in Mass Media from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and attended classes in Marketing and Business at Berkeley University. She holds a master's degree in Sociology.^[4]
