Bambu (rapper)

Bambu De Pistola is a Filipino-American rapper from Watts, Los Angeles, California.[1] He has been called "one of the most well-respected indie musicians in the US".[2]

Bambu was arrested at the age of 16 and spent time in Los Angeles' Central Juvenile Hall. Released at 18, Bambu joined the United States Marine Corps and spent time in East Timor.[3]

Bambu is a revolutionary socialist and frequently raps against the United States government, white supremacy, capitalism, and the institution of policing.[3] He is a resident of Oakland, California.[4]
