Baku-Oxford School was founded in 1998 and quickly established itself as one of the leading international Schools in Baku. Currently the school has 600 students enrolled.[1] The school offers education to children aged 4–18 years old.[2] The six-story building includes a museum dedicated to the current president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the ground floor.[2]

As stated on the official website, the mission of the school is to offer "an international and intercultural perspective of the world where students’ unique qualities are valued and learner differences accommodated. Lifelong learning and leadership is fostered through self-motivation, creativity and critical thinking.”[3]

The official vision that the school adopts is that of aspiring "to become the international school of choice providing a safe and supportive environment for internationally minded local and expatriate families.”[4]
