Byndoor is a taluk in Udupi district, Karnataka, India.Byndoor town lies on NH-66 running between Panvel and Kochi and is one of the major stations along the Konkan Railway line after Udupi and Mangalore. The Mookambika Road Byndoor Railway Station, caters mainly to pilgrims visiting the Kollur Mookambika Temple in Udupi district.[1] The nearest airport is the Mangalore International Airport.

K. Gopala Poojary is the fourth time Congress MLA from Baindur Constituency[2] and the president of Udupi District Congress Committee.[3]
