Baihar is a town and a nagar panchayat in Balaghat district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.Baihar is famous for various places like Shyarpath, Babamandi, Dhaba temple, etc. Baihar is surrounded by hills and forests. Baihar is the birth place of many celebrities like Mustak khan, Pragya Jaiswal, Anand Bais, Shivanshu Awadhiya.

Demographics
In 2001, the India census,[2] showed Baihar had a population of 15,400. Males constituted 51% of the population and females 49%. Baihar had an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 57% of males and 43% of females literate. 14% of the population was under 6 years of age.
