Baglioni Hotels[1][Cite 1] is an Italian company that owns a chain of 9 extra luxury hotels, most of which are situated in palazzos in Italy's main cities: six in Italy (Milan, Venice, Florence, Punta Ala and Rome), three in France (Aix-en-Provence, Champillon Epernay, Saint Paul de Vence) and one established in March 2004 in the UK, in the heart of London.

History

  • In 1974 Roberto Polito founded Baglioni Hotels Group
  • In 1974 Roberto Polito bought his first property in Tuscany
  • In 1988 the company bought the Luna Hotel Baglioni in Venice
  • In 1989 the company bought the Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome
  • In 1992 the company bought the Carlton Hotel Baglioni in Milan
  • In 1998 the company bought three hotels in France
  • In 2004 Baglioni Hotels inaugurated the Baglioni Hotel London, the first out of Italy
  • From 2004 to 2013 all the Baglioni Hotels are elected during the Word Travel Award[2] as Italy's Leading Hotel and is nominated in Travel+Leisure 500[3]
