Bachannapet is a village and a mandal in Jangaon district in the state of Telangana in India.^[1]

Geography

Bachannapet is a mandal in the district of Jangaon. Its history dates back to 450 years approximately. A high school was established in 1955 in this village. Most of the villagers are farmers and weavers apart from the other people. There are few temples which were established very long time back.In this lord Shiva temple is one of the famous temples in Jangaon district. There is a Govt. Hospital, a junior college, a mosque, a Bus stand, a petrol bunk, a police station, mandal offices, Central bank of India, Kakathiya Grameena bank(SBI), a public library and few private schools. Apart from these, there are several rice mills in and around this village. This village has two water reservoirs (Gudi cheruvu & Thalla Cheruvu) and the people are making use of them.This is the mandal which has 23 villages under it and is one of the biggest mandals as per the area concerned in Jangaon district. This is under Janagoan constituency.

It is very well connected by road from Janagaon, Siddipet and Yadagiri gutta. Janagaon is the nearest railway station which is about 17 km.It is 17 km distance from Jangaon, Cherial and Aler.
