BIPS (Bitcoin Internet Payment System) was a payment service provider that allowed its users to accept online bitcoin payments.[1][2][3] It was based in Denmark.

In 2013, the company lost 1,295 bitcoins (then worth around US$1 Million) in an online theft.[4][5] Kris Henriksen form BIPS – the CEP and one of the funders insists that this money, as well as the broken wallets belong to BIPS and have stored the reserve of the company.[6]

In 2014, the company was acquired by Coinify.[7]
