BHDR is a construction firm founded in 1935 that works on residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

History

The company was founded in 1935 in Sinop by Yilmaz Bahadir [1] and became a construction company in 1954. His sons founded the company TİM Trade Construction and Engineering Company, which merged with BHDR into the Bahadir Unlimited Company in 1978. In 1996 the company was renamed BHDR Construction Industries Inc.[2] Projects have included residential projects research facilities for companies like Mercedes-Benz, and factory construction.[3] The Chairman of the company is Cem Bahadir, who has held the position since 1995, when his father Habib Bahadir stepped down.[3] The firm had up and downs during the history , currently dealing with some legal lean issues. The company was not listed in top 100 of construction firms in Turkey.

Construction

In addition to construction in Turkey, BHDR operated in Russia developing residential, commercial, and industrial projects until 2000, when it also began working in private industry exclusively rather than partially in Turkish state-sponsored projects. The company then re-entered the international market in 2012, starting in Qatar and Libya.[4] [5][6]
