Ayagoz (Kazakh: Ai'ako'z ay'dany; Аякөз ауданы, اياكٶز اۋدانى) is a district of East Kazakhstan Region in eastern Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the town of Ayagoz.[2] Population: 35,866 (2013 estimate);[1] 36,410 (2009 Census results);[3] 42,797 (1999 Census results).[3]
The district is served by Turkestan-Siberia Railway. Aktogay station, located within the district, is an important junction.
