Axel Jungstedt

Axel Jungstedt

Axel Jungstedt (17 March 18591933) was a Swedish painter.

He was born in Norrköping as the son of Johan Nils Jungstedt and Matilda Sundius,[1] and was brother of opera singer Matilda Jungstedt.[2]

He was appointed professor at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts from 1909 to 1925. Among his works is the decoration of the Stockholm Opera House. He is represented at the National Gallery of Norway with the painting Dannemora gruver from 1890.[3]
