Amanda Ava Koci (born February 16, 1994) is an American singer of Kosovar descent, best known by her stage name Ava Max.[3] She is best known for her single "Sweet but Psycho", which reached number one on the Sweden Sverigetopplistan chart.

Career

Koci was born on February 16, 1994, in Wisconsin to Albanian parents from Kosovo.[3] She started her career in the United States. Max was featured on Le Youth's single "Clap Your Hands" in 2017. She released her debut single, "My Way", through Atlantic Records on April 20, 2018.[4] It reached a peak of 38 on the Airplay 100 chart of Romania.[5][6]. Max's second single "Sweet but Psycho" was released on August 17, 2018. The song, produced by Cirkut, became Max's breakthrough hit reaching number one on the Swedish Singles chart.[7] Max was also featured on David Guetta's album 7, on a track called "Let It Be Me" a song she wrote on piano.[8]
