August Rosenbaum (born 1987 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish Jazz pianist, composer and arranger.[1]
Biography
Rosenbaum is one of the most sought after musicians in modern Danish music. He has won the Danish Music Awards for his solo projects, performed at the acclaimed Sónar Festival, and in 2014 he was shortlisted for the Nordic Music Prize, the National Danish Critics’ Award and Composer of the year at the Danish Jazz Music Award.[2] His latest album Vista (2017) and EP Rasa (2018) were produced by Grammy nominated producer Robin Hannibal.
Rosenbaum is also known for his collaborations with artists like Quadron, Rhye and MØ, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and visual artist Jesper Just. He has commissioned works for film, theatre and performances at a.o. The Royal Danish Theatre, Palais De Tokyo and The Royal Danish Ballet.
Mark Corroto at All About Jazz, states: Absorbing all forms of music as if he were a black hole in space.[3]
