Audrey Napoleon is a platinum selling electronic music [1][2][3][4][5][6] producer/DJ and Founder of Qveen Cosmetics.[7][8] She moved to Los Angeles in 2005, launched her DJ career in 2009 and now has a successful cosmetics brand.

Early life

Napoleon was born in Houston, Texas to a creative family. Growing up, she always had a knack for music whether that was performances, playing an instrument, singing, etc. She received her first guitar at the age of 13 and later moved onto the piano.

Career

2009 - 2016: Producer/DJ

Napoleon's career began in the Los Angeles club scene in 2009. She was working at Geisha House as a waitress when one night a friend of hers took her to a club to see James Zabiela. "After I saw James play that night, I decided I wanted to be a DJ and began to teach myself. I started playing gigs for no money at first and I even threw my own parties because I wanted to play so much. Avalon eventually caught wind of my name which got me my first residency there...and the first night I opened for James."[9]

After 3 years on the scene, Audrey's EP, Ornamental Egos, debuted on the iTunes charts next to Zedd at #104. Her hit single written for Heineken's campaign, in which Audrey starred, aired in Times Square as well as reached 3m hits on YouTube and 6m downloads within 6 months while "Green +15" was featured on the front page of iTunes under "New and Noteworthy singles".

After her release of Ornamental Egos, she became one of the top 10 female DJ/Producers touring the world. Napoleon maintained her dark approach, with the follow up single "Dope a la Mode" which is featured as one of the Top 10 Tracks of the year by DJ Mag.

Napoleon produced three original tracks for Swedish commercial director Fredrik Bond's film directorial debut, The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, starring Shia LaBeouf and Evan Rachel Wood.

An original song from Napoleon's Ornamental Egos EP, "Only You", was featured in the season finale of Naomi Campbell's television series The Face.

Napoleon has performed in front of millions of fans, with artists like The Cure, Skrillex, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Nero, Steve Angello and Tiesto at some of the largest festivals including Coachella, EDC, and Escape from Wonderland as well as The American Music Awards and The Grammy Awards.

2016 - Present: Producer/DJ

Napoleon took a hiatus in 2016 due to frustration with the music industry. She is currently in the studio writing music again and plans to release Spring 2018.

Creative Direction

2011 - 2013

Napoleon created a short film for her single "Poison" as well as co-directed the styling and makeup of the short film. This became the first moment she combined music, fashion and beauty.[10][11]

2013 - 2015

Napoleon starred in award-winning V-Moda M100 headphones campaign, advised in Creative Direction as well as Makeup and Styling. This campaign was featured in American Vogue.[12]

Napoleon collaborated with The Rodnik Brand, a hand-made fashion line supported by Karl Lagerfeld and Lady Gaga, to create a clothing line. Napoleon starred in the campaign as well as advised on Creative and Art Direction. This campaign was featured in Italian Vogue[13] and Nylon Magazine.[14]

Napoleon was unveiled Ardency Inn's new eyeliner headliner. The Modster eyeliner kits included Ardency Inn's signature product in black, blue and gold, designed to last well into a night (or morning) of clubbing or just working up a sweat at your best friend's holiday party. With her Ardency Inn campaign, Napoleon joined only Nervo as dance music artists with cosmetics contracts (the duo has been signed with Cover Girl since 2012).[15]

2015 - Present

Napoleon has worked with online "bad bitch" fashion retailer, Dolls Kill on 7 separate campaigns. She worked on Creative and Art Direction, Styling and Makeup Direction, assisted in conceptualizing ideas for each campaign as well as starred in them.

Napoleon teamed up Ardency Inn and Sephora for 2 campaigns. Her roles were Creative and Art Direction, Styling and assisting in Makeup Direction, assisting Development of Product lines, and Conceptualizing each campaign. These campaigns later launched in Urban Outfitters.

    Founder of Cosmetics Brand

    2016 - Present

At the close of 2016, Napoleon was discussing the idea of launching a beauty brand with a big name retailer, but the timing wasn't right for them. After discussing the idea with her best friend, Qveen Herby, they decided that they should do it together. After toying with different names, they realized, "my fans have called me "Queen" for years and she was becoming her solo artist "Qveen Herby" so the name "Qveen" was perfectly fitted for our brand."

In June of 2017, Napoleon and Herby launched Qveen Studio: For The Modern Day Boss Bitch.[16][17]

Together they conceptualized the look and feel of the brand. Napoleon decided to bring on Board Members with experience in the beauty industry, George Swisher who has 20+ years in marketing and eComm of Fashion and Beauty with notable big name brands, and the Ex-President of Makeup Forever to help get the company off the ground quickly.

From inception to today, Napoleon leads the Business Development, Product Development, and Direction of the brand.
