Atlantis Diesel Engines/ Engineering (ADE) is a South African manufacturer of diesel engines and components, notably for the mining, on and off road applications as well as defence force industries. The company operates from Johannesburg with agencies in Egypt and Nigeria.

The company was started by the government of South Africa following the imposition of United Nations Security Council Resolution 418. The company was licensed in 1979 to manufacture Mercedes Benz and Perkins diesel engines[1], which were primarily destined for military vehicles such as the Ratel IFV, Buffel, Casspir and SAMIL Trucks. The company is currently operating from engineering facilities in Johannesburg with the main focus on supplying the road, passenger, mining, and defence force industries with new and reconditioned engines, parts, components and new sub-assemblies including ADE, MERCEDES, BELL, CAT, CUMMINS, DETROIT, KOMATSU, DEUTZ, JOHN DEERE, MAN and other makes and models. Also transmissions, gearboxes, differentials, centre portions.
