Athens Blade

The Athens Blade was a short-lived weekly newspaper for African Americans published in Athens, Georgia in 1879 and 1880.[1] It was published by W.A. Pledger and W.H. Heard.[1]

It was one of three African American newspapers produced in Athens. The others were The Progressive Era and the Athens Clipper.
