Atento is a multinational provider of CRM BPO services. The company is among the top three providers globally, based on revenues. Atento operates in 13 countries and employs approximately 154,000 people.[1]

History

In order to reinforce its partnership with Telefónica, in 2012 Atento signed the MSA with a nine-year term through 2021, which includes annual minimum revenue commitments in all jurisdictions (except for Argentina).

December 12th, 2012. Telefónica and Bain Capital closed the deal for the acquisition of Atento for €1,051 million euros. [5]

September 12th, 2014. Atento announces launch of initial public offering [6] [7] [8]

December 11th, 2014. Atento announced the sale of its operations in the Czech Republic to Comdata SPA [9] [10]

Locations

Atento has 93 contact centers in 13 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, United States and Uruguay.[1]
