Assumption School (Millbury) is a private, Catholic parochial, co-educational school located in Millbury, Massachusetts, in the United States of America with a student body from many mid and south central Massachusetts including Millbury and various other towns of the Blackstone Valley, Auburn, Worcester and beyond.
Presently, the school’s enrollment is approximately 100 students from pre-kindergarten's three and four years of age, to eighth grade Siblings of present students, children of staff, and members of Assumption Parish are admitted first. Assumption School does not discriminate on the basis of faith, race, sex, national origin, or age in accordance with the law. Although Assumption School strives to address the needs of a child, the school does not have special needs services. These can be obtained through the student's public school district. With small class sizes, and a resource teaching assistant, whenever possible the faculty will make accommodations to assist and support students in the learning process.
Assumption School is accredited through the National Association of Private Schools.[3]
Academics
Assumption School believes that each student's talents and abilities are unique and God-given. Parents, faculty and administration are committed to preparing our students for a future where faith, integrity, and honor are transparent.
In addition to the core studies of Math, Reading, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Science, students explore a living faith/Religion, Computer, Art, Music, Foreign Language and Physical Education classes. Students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade are involved in the Diocesan Declamation Contest each spring. Assumption School has a middle school science fair bi-annually (5th-8th) and students participate in the Diocesan Science Fair.

Drama: Students from Grades 3 to 8 with talent both natural and soon-to-be-developed come to the stage for Drama Club. Productions are performed at Holy Name Junior/Senior High School's Joseph P. The latest offering WE THE PEOPLE by Pat Cook brought over 30 students to the stage demonstrating the blessing and strength of the United States Constitution today. Performed April 7, 2018, ten scenes of everyday life in America illustrated the importance of each line of the Preamble. Simple and poignant, yet at times very humorous and unexpected.

Athletics
Assumption School has a coed cross country team and both boys and girls basketball teams with students in grades five and six, and grades seven and eight participating.
Daily Schedule
At Assumption School, the school day for grades Pre-Kindergarten-8th extends from 8:30 am to 3pm. An Extended Day Program provides before and/or after school care for its students. Day Care is available from 7:00-8:15 a.m and 3:00-6:00 p.m. on school days for a minimal fee.
Bus transportation is available for Millbury residents with bus routes printed in the Millbury-Sutton Chronicle and on the same schedule as the Elmwood Street School. Upon arrival to school, students are received by an Assumption School staff member in the parking lot of the Millbury Public Library. Families from neighboring towns must provide their own transportation.

History
The school was originally known as "l'Assomption". Founded in 1925, it was built to serve the French Canadian families of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish of Millbury.
