The Association of American Medical Colleges is a not-for-profit organization based in Washington, DC, and established in 1876. It administers the Medical College Admission Test and operates the American Medical College Application Service and the Electronic Residency Application Service which facilitate students applying to medical schools and residency programs, respectively.

Since 2006, the president has been Darrell Kirch.[1]

Past papers of the association are held at the National Library of Medicine. [2]

The association hosts regional conferences dedicated to innovation in North American medical education.
