Aspergillus wentii is a species of the genus of Aspergillus.[1][2] Aspergillus wentii occurs in the tropics and can cause spoilage in corn, tobacco, peanuts and cereals.[3] Aspergillus wentii produces the mycotoxins emodine, yicathin A, yicathin B, yicathin C, (+)-asperolide, asperolide A, asperolide B, asperolide C, wentilactone and wentilactone B.[4][5][6][7][3] Aspergillus wentii is used for producing industrial enzymes.[7]
