Asian Provocateur is a 2015 British television series shown on the BBC in which comedian Romesh Ranganathan travels to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country.

In 2016, a second series, Mum's American Dream, was commissioned.[1]

Series 1 (2015)

Episode 1: Uncle Thiru

Romesh is sent to receive a traditional blessing, which involves a chicken being rubbed on his head.

Romesh visits his Uncle Ragu, in Batticloa, and is soon led astray.
