Ashok Chauhan

Ashok Chauhan is the founder and president of the Amity Education Group. He is also the founder of Ritnand Balved Education Foundation[1][2][3][4]

Personal life and career

Chauhan was born in India, as one of the seven siblings. He is married to Amita Chauhan, and has five sons, Atul, Aseem, Ajit, Abhay and Amol. He also has a daughter, Sapna Chauhan. He lives in New Delhi. After Chauhan's graduation and receiving a scholarship from the German government, he moved to Germany in the 1970s. According to his son, Atul, it was in the 1980s that Chauhan thought of entering into the education space. In the mid 1990s, Chauhan founded Amity, and later in 2005, he founded Amity University, which became one of the well known private university in India.[5]

  • 'Lifetime Achievement Award For Higher Education' by Franchise India in 2011[7]
