Asante Capital

Asante Capital is a private equity placement and advisory firm. Warren Hibbert and Fraser van Rensburg founded the firm in 2010 and is headquartered in London with a second office in New York City. The firm has assisted with the placement of a number of notable investment firms, including Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe, Blue Water Energy[1] Creandum,[2] Sofinnova,[3] and others.[4][5]

History

Asante Capital was launched in 2010.[6] In 2012, Hibbert spoke to The Independent about funding and equity opportunities in Africa. During the interview he stated, "you can't attack Africa like you can Europe, it is far more diverse. You are reliant on partners on the ground."[7][8]

The growth of the firm led to further expansion in 2015, when they opened their second office in the United States, with plans to open a third in Asia.[9]

Recognition

Asante Capital was awarded the British Private Equity Award for best Fund Advisory Firm in October 2013, after closing a number of notable funds in their first two years of trading.[8]

In April 2014, Managing Partner Warren Hibbert was named in Financial News’ list of 40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Private Equity.[10]
