Arthur James Read (born 3 November 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for League One club Luton Town.

Career

Born in Camden, Greater London, Read started his career with Luton Town at under-9 level and progressed through the club's youth system, before he became a first-year scholar in the summer of 2016.[4] He made his first-team debut as a 90th-minute substitute for Jake Gray in a 3–1 defeat to Millwall at Kenilworth Road in an EFL Trophy group stage match on 8 November 2016.[5] After the match, manager Nathan Jones said that Read was "going to be a proper player".[6] Read signed a three-year professional contract with Luton on 22 November 2016.[4]
