Arthur Cleghorn (1 December 1873  – 27 May 1951) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL).[1] In the first year of competition, 1897, he became one of the club's and league's first premiership players. Cleghorn made his debut against Geelong in round 1 of the season at Corio Oval. He topped the club's goalkicking tally in 1899. He was also a member of Richmond's 1905 Victorian Football Association (VFA) premiership team.[2]

He died in hospital three weeks after being struck by a car in May 1951.[3]
