Arrondissements of the Calvados department

The 4 arrondissements of the Calvados department are, since the January 2017 reform:[1]

  1. Arrondissement of Bayeux, (subprefecture: Bayeux) with 123 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 68,130 in 2013.
  2. Arrondissement of Caen, (prefecture of the Calvados department: Caen) with 208 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 417,015 in 2013.
  3. Arrondissement of Lisieux, (subprefecture: Lisieux) with 162 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 147,277 in 2013.
  4. Arrondissement of Vire, (subprefecture: Vire-Normandie) with 44 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 57,523 in 2013.
