Ariela Barer (born October 14, 1998) is an American actress and singer known for playing the role of Gertrude "Gert" Yorkes in the Hulu original series Marvel's Runaways.

Career

Ariela Barer started acting at the age of three and started professionally at nine. She has since starred in a variety of projects and performs as part of an indie rock band called The Love-Inns.[1] She was cast as Gert Yorkes on Marvel's Runaways, which aired its first season on Hulu, as part of its original programming, from November 21, 2017 to January 9, 2018.[2]

Background

Barer's parents are Mexican Jews.[3] Her sister is actress Libe Barer. In December 2017, Barer came out as part of the LGBT community.[4]
