The Areado Group is a Late Jurassic geologic group in southeastern Brazil. Fossil theropod tracks have been reported from the formation.[1]
Stratigraphy
The group contains the following formations from young to old:[2]
- Três Barras Formation - eolian and fluvio-deltaic sandstones
- Quiricó Formation - lacustrine claystones
- Abaeté Formation - fluvial conglomerates
