Ardashir II Kushanshah

Coin of Ardashir II Kushanshah (Circa 230-250 CE). Obverse: crowned bust. Reverse: Goddess Anahit seated facing under domed canopy, holding wreath and scepter.[1]

Ardashir II Kushanshah (?-246), was the second Kushano-Sasanids Kushanshas ruler, after Ardashir I Kushanshah, in effect a governor of the Sassanid Empire for the eastern regions of Sogdiana, Bactria and Gandhara which had been captured following the fall of the Kushans in 225 CE.[2]

He minted his own coinage and took the title of Kushansha, ie "Kings of the Kushans".[2]
