Arabsiyo is a city in northwestern Somaliland, a self-proclaimed independent republic that is internationally recognized as a part of Somalia.[1][2] The town is located about 30 km west of Hargeisa.

Overview

Arabsiyo has a three valleys located on the West, Central and on the Eastern of the city with a number of farming villages such as Huluq, Agamsa, Gogol-wanaag, Beeyo-Qalooce, Dhagaxmadoobe, Biyomacaan, Laas Xadhaadh and Gogeysa towards Gabiley city. Arabsiyo is primarily inhabited by the Ali Jibril (Baha Omar) sub-clan of the Jibril Abokor sub-division of the Habr Awal well represented.[3][4]
