  • Died: Metody Patchev, 26, Bulgarian revolutionary. Patchev had entered Kadino Selo with six other revolutionaries, not realising that Ottoman troops were stationed in the village. Recognising the hopelessness of their situation, he killed his friends and committed suicide.[5]
