Apeejay School, Faridabad

Apeejay School, Faridabad, established in July 1972 was first of its kind in the state of Haryana. It has two wings ,the primary wing being located in Sector 14 and the senior wing in Sector 15.^[1]

Affiliation

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education for its All India Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations and is also a member of the National Progressive Schools Conference. At the +2 level, the school has all the three streams viz. Science, Commerce and Humanities.

Infrastructure

Senior Wing

The senior wing functions from a sprawling 8 acre campus located in the heart of Sector 15, Faridabad. The academic block is built on three levels and includes two computer laboratories, an LCD room, multiple science laboratories and different halls for fine arts, music and dance. Various amenities are provided for physical excursions, including multiple fields for football, hockey and cricket along with separate courts for volleyball, badminton and basketball. A swimming pool is also constructed on the campus with dedicated instructors. Twin auditoriums dot the campus, being used for a variety of seminars and conferences. The primary library is spacious and contains over 18000 books and 40 periodicals.

Primary Wing

The primary wing functions from its own modular campus in Sector 14, Fardidabad. The campus contains a small splash pool, a large field for sports and courts for volleyball. Different laboratories exist for science and computers along with an LCD room. A library housing a large collection of fiction is also present. An auditorium is built for interactive sessions as well as regular and meaningful assemblies.

Achievements

• Tamanna Goel secured 2nd rank in the district and produced AIR 13 in All India Secondary School Examination in the Commerce stream in 2014.
• Ms. Mona Pruthi topped the Civil Services (Mains) examination, 2005.
• Tannvi Aggarwal topped the All India Secondary School Examination in the Commerce stream in 2009.
• The school received complete funding from the Ministry of Environment, Italy for the CEY conference in 2002.
• Maanit Chhabra secured 1st rank in the NCR (National Capital Region of Delhi), PCM category in the National Talent Search Examination.
• Anmol Madaan was awarded the second position in the 47th Annual All India UN Information Test.
• Aakriti Sehgal was declared the winner in the under 17 and under 19 category in the Delhi State Squash Championship.
• The school team won the District Swimming Championship Trophy for the 10th consecutive year.
• Mrs. S.Samra, the former principal of the school was awarded the National Principal of the Year Award by Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.
• The school has been given the title of "The Best International School" for its exceptional performance in both curricular and non- curricular activities by the British Council
• In 1991 school produced IITJEE AIR 1 GOKUL RAJARAM
• In 2006 school produced AIR 6 IN AIEEE 2006
