Anusmriti Sarkar (born 23 October 1991) is an Indian Actress . She is known for her Telugu Movies Ishta Sakhi & Heroine

Early life and background

Anusmriti was born on 23 October 1991 to Animesh Sarkar and Anita Sarkar. Anusmriti started her modelling career when she was just 17 years old. Her father is a businessman & her mother is a homemaker. She has two younger sisters. They both are studying in Law school .

Career

Anusmriti made her acting debut in the year 2011 with the Bengali film Bhorer Alo, replacing Riya Sen to star opposite Rohit Roy.[1] This film was directed by two time National Award winning director Prabhat Roy.[2]

Her next project, in the same year, was Tollywood film Vankai Fry.[3] The film was directed by Chandra Mauli, and she starred opposite a newcomer actor.[3]

Post that, she immediately signed her second Bengali film Bikram Singha: The Lion Is Back, directed by Rajiv Kumar Biswas, where she starred opposite Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee.[4] This led to her signing Telugu film Ishta Sakhi in 2013, where she starred opposite famous actor Shree Hari & 2 other heroes.[5]

She also worked on Telugu film Suswagatam where she played the main lead opposite famous Telugu actor Raja,[6] and two more Bengali films - Biporjoy & Moner Majhi Tumi.[7]

Sarkar then bagged Telugu film Heroine, directed by Bharath Parapelli where she played the lead role & was widely appreciated for her acting.[8][9]

Throughout the early phase of her career, Sarkar did a series of films in both Bengali and Telugu industry. Currently Anusmriti is preparing for her grand debut in the Bollywood industry which she has already signed.[1][10]

Other Work

Anusmriti has done many ad campaigns like Khadims, BSNL, Tiger biscuit, Reliance SIM card, Marie Biscuit. Manyavar, Chirag Computer,Livon hair serum and many more. Anusmriti also contributes in campaigns which supports a cause to maintain a healthy environment.[11]
