Her husband's name is Ashok Kumar Jaiswal who is a Bank Manager by profession. She resides in Indira Colony, Bahraich. The couple have got three children; a Son, Shivam Jaiswal who is a graduate from Kalinga University and is a Software Engineer in a private firm. The two daughters; Aishwarya Jaiswal & Swati Shree Jaiswal,who are the graduates from Uttar Pradesh Technical University and are working for the different Private firms.

She got the ministries of Basic Education, Child Development and Nutrition, Revenue, Finance.[6]
