Anton Woensam
Anton Woensam (1493–1541) was a German painter and graphic artist specializing in woodcuts.
Life
He was born in 1493 or 1496.[1]
He lived most of his life in Cologne, Germany.[2]
He died in 1541.[3]
Career
He was a contemporary of Albrecht Dürer. He worked as a woodcutter for book printers.[4]
Over forty-five paintings and over 500 woodcuts are attributed to him.[5]
