Anomadassi Buddha was one of the 28 Buddhas. He was born in Candavati, lived in Upasiri and later lived in the Dhammarama Monastery. Among his contemporaries, he was widely known for the twin miracle at the gates of Osadhi (Sankassa).
Anomadassi Buddha helped at least eighty thousand of his followers obtain Arahant. Among his most notable followers were Kings Soreyya and Uppala. He also had a son named Upavana.
Anonmadassi Buddha was suffering from a stomach disease. Then he was cured by a physician, who was a great devotee of the Buddha. The physician made a wish to live a healthy long life and become an Arahath. Anomadassi Buddha blessed him and said that he would be born during the time of Gautama Buddha and attain Nibbana. He was Bakkula Thero, who was the healthiest Bhikkhu during the time of Gautama Buddha
