Anne Kirkpatrick is the Chief of the Oakland Police Department. Kirkpatrick was appointed Chief by Mayor Libby Schaaf on January 4, 2017.[1] She was the former police chief in the city of Spokane, Washington and was leading organizational development inside the Chicago Police Department.[2] She was sworn in as Oakland police chief on February 27, 2017.[2]
