Anne-Eva Brauneck

Anne-Eva Brauneck (born December 9, 1910 in Hamburg, † March 6, 2007 in Lich) was the first German professor of criminal law and criminology and second German professor of law. Brauneck studied law at the end of the Weimar Republic at the University of Heidelberg.[1] She turned to studies on the family backgrounds of juvenile offenders. Her work was suspect to the National Socialists because it did not confirm the politically desired theory of the heritability of crime.[2]
