Anna University Regional Campus, Coimbatore previously known as Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore is a regional office of Anna University. It offers more than 40 degree programmes through its Distance Education Arm Directorate of Online and Distance Education. When University is established in 2007 it was named as "Anna University, Coimbatore" till 2010, then name changed to "Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore" and then once again name changed to "Anna University Regional campus, Coimbatore".

History

The Regional Campus of Anna University was established during 2012. It offers higher education in Engineering and Technology. The Regional Campus Coimbatore is equipped with excellent infrastructure and highly qualified members of faculty, who facilitate hands on experience to students to master their skills in various disciplines. [1]

In September 14, 2011 a bill was passed to merge back the universities and Currently it is working as regional Campus of Anna University.[2]

Campus

The University Campus is located around 130 acres close to Bharathiar University. And "TICEL BIO-Park-III,Coimbatore" is coming-up in 10 acres of land in Anna University Campus, Coimbatore.initially the university opera from a temporary campus situated in jothi mills compound , jothipuram in mettupalayam road before shifting to the current location .
