Anna Karsten (born Anna Lysakowska; August 30, 1988 in Warsaw) is a journalist, travel blogger, traveler, social media personality, and model.[1][2][3][4]

Early life

Anna Karsten was born and raised in Warsaw in Poland. She began her career in media as a child TV presenter. When she was 7 she co-hosted a few episodes of popular kids programs on TVP2 and Polsat.

Education

In 2009 she graduated with distinction as Bachelor of Arts from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. After college, Karsten left to London UK where she studied at University College London and worked in order to begin her travel and media career.

She has continued her education while traveling across the globe, obtaining degrees from top universities such as Harvard University, Oxford Institute of Legal Practice in the UK, Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico, and Leiden University in the Netherlands. In 2014 she published her research on the politics of abortion in Mexico (978-3659527661).[4]

Travel career

Since 2007 Karsten has traveled to over 80 countries and lived on 4 continents. In 2013 she launched her travel blog AnnaEverywhere.com in order to document her journeys around the world. The blog has approximately 150,000 readers monthly and over 750,000 social media followers.

Anna Karsten has appeared on television and radio on various countries (as Anna Lysakowska), including TVN24,[5] Azteca, Polskie Radio Program IV and starred in a commercial. As a speaker, Anna has appeared at Travel Industry Exchange[6] and Traverse.

She has been featured, quoted or written about in dozens of publications including New York Times,[1] The Huffington Post,[7] The Daily Mail,[8] The Telegraph,[9] Forbes,[10] Matador Network,[11] News.com.au,[12] EasyJet In-flight Magazine, Brussels Airlines In-flight Magazine, Grazia Magazine, Orbitz,[13] TripAdvisor,[14] Gazeta Wyborcza[15] and BuzzFeed.

Anna has also been named the most popular travel blogger from Poland on Instagram by the National Geographic Traveler.[16]

Personal life

Anna announced her relationship to Matthew Karsten, fellow travel blogger, via Facebook in April 2016. They got married in Las Vegas in 2017.
