Anita Goel (Hindi: अनीता गोयल) is a physicist and physician in the United States. She is globally recognized for her pioneering research in nano biophysics, particularly for the study of molecular mechanics behind the reading and writing of information in DNA.

Education

Goel received a PhD in physics from Harvard University, where she was mentored by Nobel laureate Dudley R. Herschbach. Her thesis was entitled Single Molecule Dynamics of Motor Enzymes Along DNA. She received a BS in physics with honors and distinction from Stanford University, where her mentor was Nobel laureate Steven Chu. She also holds an M.D. from the Harvard–MIT Joint Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST).[1][2][3]
